Darrell McGahhey, Tecma's C.F.O., moved from Denver to El Paso after his stint in the Army as a Second Lieutenant. He has over three decades of manufacturing and financial management experience mostly in Mexico. Darrell holds a BS in Chemistry and Manufacturing Science and holds two patents for steelmaking processes. He also holds a BA in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas. He is fluent in Spanish and English and is bi-cultural. Darrell worked in a wide variety of technologies from primary steelmaking to assembly and distribution processes with a wide range of business sizes. He knows all types American, Mexican and Japanese management styles with training at Nippon Steel to include the Toyota Lean Manufacturing model of Total Quality Management, Zero Quality Defects and Just-in-Time manufacturing. While General Manager and VP of three divisions, he augmented his skill set achieving his degrees in accounting and finance. With his new credentials, Darrell worked with creditors, banks, unions, stockholders, board of directors and governmental agencies in both ongoing and turnaround businesses in the U.S. and Mexico. As an analyst, Darrell prepared financial modeling for what-if scenarios in both operational cash flows and potential investment impacts. In addition, he conducted financial appraisals of stock purchases and valued acquisitions for corporations. As co-owner of Western Credit Alliance, Darrell was responsible developing procedures for commercial loan approvals, processing, and collections. He formed alliances with lenders such as Lending Tree, American Lending, and Eagle Financial and develop prospectuses to attract private investors. Darrell also developed private consortiums to manage investment pools and IPOs for Mutual funds. |
